Agriculture employs approximately 35% of Nigeria's workforce and contributes 25% of GDP — making it the country's largest employer and a critical pillar of national food security. Federal and state programmes including the Anchor Borrowers Programme, Presidential Initiative on Unlocking the Healthcare Value Chain, and the Agricultural Transformation Agenda have driven significant investment in agricultural infrastructure.

Rafayyl Engineering recognised early that agro-processing infrastructure was underserved by large engineering firms who focus on oil and gas, and underengineered by small contractors who lack technical depth. We positioned our Agro-processing practice to serve this gap — delivering technically rigorous, cost-effective agricultural infrastructure for commercial farmers, food manufacturers, and government agencies.

Our capabilities span the full agri-infrastructure value chain: from borehole drilling and irrigation canal design through to temperature-controlled cold storage facilities, grain silos, palm oil processing plants, and food-grade factory buildings with HACCP-compliant finishes. We have delivered projects for clients in rice milling, palm oil, cassava processing, poultry, and horticulture.

All our food processing facilities are designed to meet NAFDAC regulatory requirements and, where required, international food safety standards including BRC and FSSC 22000.
